Hall of Fame Class of 2014

The 21st annual induction ceremony was held on February 9, 2014 at the V.F.W. Post 972 in Terre Haute, IN. Charles "Rik" Padgett and Michael Trench were unable to attend.

The Lemon Brothers opened the ceremony with an impressive show. The Terre Haute Children's Choir had also been schedule to perform, but weather issues and school rules forced them to cancel.

The Akers/Grindle award was presented to Rick Waggoner.

Akers/Grindle Award Presentation to Rick Waggoner

The Akers/Grindle award, the Hall's highest award, was presented to Rick Waggoner in recognition of his service to the Hall. Rick was among the musicians who helped Alva Grindle to restart the Hall of Fame in 2005, and was elected as the Board Chairperson (also serving as Tresurer) when Alva passed away in 2007. He lead the Hall through the critical formative years, helping it grow from a small, relatively unknown group that held small induction ceremonies annually into a large, well-known organization that holds a well-attended Induction Ceremony and a Picnic & Jam annually, gives back to the community, and supports live music in the Wabash Valley.
