Musical History of George Vrzina

Musical Influences 

George Vrzina became interested in learning music at a young age.  He took music instruction at Sacred Heart School in Clinton, IN.  He played bugle in the Sacred Heart Drum and Bugle Corps, and marched in the Columbus Day parades in the 1950's.

After his uncle gave him a guitar when he was 10 years old, he began taking guitar lessons at Bonomos' Music Store.  He later learned the bass guitar.

Musical Career

George has been a member of the following bands:

1960-1965 Played guitar with the Spiders band, which he helped to found
1965-1968 Played guitar with the Beach Combers band
1968-1970 Played guitar with the Fugitives band
1967-1984 Played guitar with the Old Silo band
1985-1988 Played with the Rock Pit band
2005-Now Played bass with the MCM Band
2014-2019 Played bass with the CHS Daze Band
2015-2018 Played bass with the Mirage Band

He also plays occasionally with the Jerry Hawkins Band.

Hall of Fame

George was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2014.
