Musical History of Ric Jeffries

Musical Influences

Ric Jeffries grew up in Brazil Indiana, where at 6 years old he showed an aptitude for music.  His mother placed him in piano lessons, where he developed into a strong ear player.

Musical Career

Ric played in the concert band at Brazil High School, and also formed a band that performed for high school dances at at least once at the Brazil Legion.

He continued his musical career in the Wabash Valley, performing with many musicians who are now in the Hall of Fame, including notable musicians such as Henry Lee Summer.  He played keyboards with the Good Feelings Band at two of Terre Haute's most popular venues, the Holiday Inn and the Idaho Club, for many years.  In addition to playing regularly, he operated his own business, RJ's Formalware.

Ric married fellow musician and Hall of Fame member, Linda Jeffries, and the two perform together as a duo called Lady Luck.

Memorable Moments

Ric had the privilege of performing with well-known Terre Haute pianist Lenny Wilson and Hall of Fame inductee Jim Rasley at the Indiana Theater  He also recorded original jazz material at Crystal Studios.

He is very proud of providing live entertainment for many years for the Terre Haute City annual fireworks display.

Hall of Fame

Ric was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2012.
